I started Middle Eastern Dancing in the Spring of 2008. A friend and I decided to take a class for fun and to spend some time together.
I fell in love with the music, movement, culture, and friends.
It was also an answer to a very specific prayer for me and has fulfilled me in so many more ways than I ever dreamed to ask for initially. I thank God for leading me to that class.
Over the years, I have grown as a dancer and a person. I help choreograph dances with our group and enjoy working on dances each week.
I am so grateful to have found a place where I can come together with other women to learn, laugh, and live life. We come together to strengthen our bodies, minds, souls, and bonds as sisters. But the most important thing I take away every week from class is the reminder that all women are beautiful regardless of age, race, ethnicity, cup size, pant size, body type, etc.
I am so honored to be a part of this group and dance with these amazing women. My life is so much richer because of it.
